The Baxter County Conservation District’s Hicks Creek-White River 319 Project will host farm tours as part of the 2025 Spring Conservation Celebration. The event is set for April 22 from 5:30 to 7:30, with a rain date set of April 24.
Tours will begin at 5:45, followed by a meal at 6, featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans, dessert and drinks. The tours will showcase conservation practices implemented according to Natural Resources Conservation Service standards, including heavy-use areas, watering systems, livestock pipelines, cross-fencing, rotational grazing, fruit trees and brush management.
The event is free, but participants must register by April 18.
Tours will take place at Weisner Farm, 8728 Highway 201 South in Mountain Home.
