Changes have been made to polling locations for next month’s school board elections in Baxter County due to Mountain Home no longer having a contested race. Robert “Tony” Chamberlain withdrew from the race for Position 3 on the Mountain Home School Board, leaving Brad Butler without an opponent. Butler will succeed Dan Smakal, who did not file for reelection.

Baxter County Clerk’s Office Election Coordinator Lindsay Roberts says with a race in the Norfork School District and another for a portion of the Calico Rock School District, there will be three polling locations open May 13.

While Position 3 in Mountain Home is now an uncontested race, Roberts says two names will still appear on the ballot.
