
Harrison’s boys had the top performance among area junior high track teams as they won the Junior Anstaff Relays Wednesday at Green Forest.
In the other boys’ results, Omaha finished third, Valley Springs was fifth, Ozark Mountain ended up second, and Cotter took ninth place.
Among area athletes, Harrison’s Porter Blankenship won the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles, fellow Junior Goblin Tayson Waters won the pole vault, Tyler Liggett of Omaha won the 800-meter run and the long jump, and Omaha’s Dawson Yarger won the high jump and the discus throw. Harrison’s team of Dawson Smith, Brayden Rhein, Christian Cain and Bentley Wade won the 4×200-meter relay; Dublin Eddings, Chase Clark, Cain and Waters of Harrison won the 4×400-meter relay; and Omaha’s Thompson Edwards, Blake McAlister, Ben Badgett and Ryder Larson won the 4×800-meter relay.
The girls’ team title was captured by Bentonville Lincoln. Valley Springs finished fourth, Harrison was fifth, Bergman ended up sixth, Ozark Mountain took seventh place, Omaha finished ninth, and Cotter was 10th.
Individually, Kyna See of Bergman won the 800-meter run, and Harrison’s Remington Watson won the long jump. Valley Springs’ team of Ressy Horton, Kaylee Shelton, Myrissa Johnson and Makenna Millsap won the 4×400-meter relay.
