Mr. Herman “Ray” Gessner, 87, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025. He was born on April 6, 1938, in Fairfax County, Virginia, to Joseph and Gladys (Bayless) Gessner. He was married to Shirley (Cox) Gessner for 39 years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp., retired from the Army National Guard #224, and was a retired auto mechanic. He was a CB enthusiast (the Virginian), a NASCAR fan, and enjoyed watching westerns.
Ray is survived by his wife; four children: Mike Gessner, Steve Gessner, Jennifer Partee (Rudy), and Lisa Sanders (Lee); 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and two sisters: Katherine and Velma; He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons: Troy Gessner and Gary “Bub” Howe; two grandchildren: Brad and Luke, and one sister: Joanne.
