The Mountain Home High School baseball team came up just short as they were looking to snap their current losing skid in conference play. The Bombers were edged out at Alma 3-2 on Tuesday. Mountain Home falls to 12-13 on the season and 2-10 in the 5A-West.
The 3A-2 District Baseball Tournament continued with two games at Cave City. Yellville-Summit watched its season come to an end as they fell to the host Cavemen 14-4. Salem was also eliminated from the tournament with a 7-4 loss to Valley Springs.
Cave City is also the site for the 3A-2 District Softball Tournament. Flippin was bounced from the tournament with a 12-3 loss to Mountain View. Yellville-Summit secured a regional tournament bid as they topped Cave City 4-1.
