The first quake is reported to have occurred at 5:51 Saturday evening. The United States Geological Survey says the magnitude 2.4 quake was recorded 8.8 miles northeast of Pelsor, 26.7 miles south-southeast of Harrison and 43.6 miles southwest of Mountain Home.

The second earthquake came in at 2:53 Sunday morning. The magnitude 2.3 quake was recorded 8.8 miles northeast of Pelsor, 26.3 miles south-southeast of Harrison and 43 1/2 miles southwest of Mountain Home.

Experts say normally, earthquakes below magnitude 3 are rarely felt. However, smaller quakes from magnitude 2.0 can be felt by humans if the quake is shallow (few kilometers only) and if they are very close to the epicenter and not disturbed by ambient factors such as noise, wind, vibrations of engines, traffic, etc.

Anyone who felt either of the quakes can let the Geological Survey know by clicking the links below.
