The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District has announced a major roadwork, paving and park-enhancement project will start Monday at Cranfield Park on Norfork Lake. As a result, the local recreation area will be closed to all traffic, including camping, day use and boat launching.

Traffic to and from Cranfield Marina will remain open. While camping reservations have already been canceled because of high water levels, the park is expected to remain closed to ensure crews can safely complete their work. The improvements are part of ongoing planned upgrades, including enhancements to boat ramps, additional parking in normal and high-water areas and improved park entry and exit points.

An estimated completion date has not been set for the project. As soon as work progresses, updates will be posted to the district’s social media pages.
