The Gainesville High School softball team came up one win short of a state tournament bid on Wednesday. The Lady Bulldogs hosted the championship game of the Class 1, District 4 Tournament and suffered a 7-1 loss to Plato. Gainesville’s season ends with a record of 14-8.
