
Pioneer Days in Norfork marks its annual return this Friday and promises to provide the familiar festival favorites with new additions.
Many events will be held across the city including a 5K run on Saturday, music by Ozark Thunder, and the chainsaw artist “Termite” showing off his carving creations.
This year features the addition of a pancake breakfast will be held at 8 Saturday morning at the Community Center. Anstaff Bank will host the pie eating contest starting at 1.
The culminating event will see the return of the rubber ducks race from the bridge at Highway 341 all the way to the where the North Fork and White Rivers meet. Rubber ducks will be available at City Hall for the duck race on Saturday. Ducks can be purchased for $3 or two for $5 or 10 for $20.

The historic Wolf House will have tours with reenactors Friday from 9 to 4. Tours are available any time and take approximately 5 to 10 minutes.
Rebecca Johnson, Interpretive Specialist for the Wolf House, says the structure has a long history in the Ozarks.

An escape room, a bounce house, and a tug of war will be available for the kids and the Donald W. Reynolds Library Serving Baxter County will be on site with their mobile library. Event coordinators recommend arriving early for the daily events as parking is limited in the city and visitors need to remember to not block any local residents driveways.
