A former Mountain Home Bomber soccer player has earned an honor from his fellow coaches in the 6A West. Brett Brewer, the head coach of the Springdale Har-Ber girls’ soccer team, has been named the 6A West Coach of the Year.
Brewer is in his second year as the head coach of the Lady Wildcats. They are 8-9-1 overall and finished 6-9-1 in conference play which was good for sixth place and earned them a spot in the 6A State Tournament. They face Bryant in the opening round Thursday.
The 8-9-1 record this year is a big turnaround after last year’s team went 3-11.
Brewer is a 2014 graduate of Mountain Home High School.
