Slaying slugs in the garden

As many in the Ozarks begin to get their gardens ready for summer they may notice a slow moving threat also excited to see the return of growing vegetables. Garden slugs love to get their fill on many of the vegetables humans hope to harvest and their presence can often ruin bounty.

Vicki Garner of KTLO’s Gardening in the Ozarks says slugs really are attracted to certain habitats.

There are a number of home remedies that can help to eliminate or deter the slimy invaders from wreaking havoc in the garden.

Planting fennel or rosemary in the patch act as repellents due to their aromatic nature. One final thing to do is to invite creatures who love to feast on slugs.
