Full-Time | KTLO Radio – Mountain Home, AR
KTLO is looking for a motivated and community-minded individual to join our team as a News/Sports Journalist & Programmer. This hybrid role is perfect for someone who loves storytelling, local sports and the behind-the-scenes side of radio.
What You’ll Do:
- Cover local news and sports, including writing stories, conducting interviews and attending meetings or events
- Deliver live and recorded newscasts and sports reports on-air & online
- Assist in programming and operating our broadcast software systems
- Record clients and produce/mix radio advertisements
- Handle basic audio engineering tasks
- Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure quality and reliability
- Support digital content uploads
What We Are Looking For:
- Effective writing and communication skills
- Strong community focus
- Comfortable on-air and able to work under deadline
- Computer-savvy, with attention to detail
- Familiarity with audio editing and broadcast systems is a plus (we’ll train if needed)
- A friendly, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn
Preferred but Not Required:
- Experience in journalism, radio, or digital media
- Knowledge of local government, high school sports, or community events
Pay is based on experience and qualifications. Onsite training will be provided. This is a full-time position with growth potential in a locally owned and operated group of stations that value community connections and reliable reporting.
