American Legion Baseball kicks off 62nd season in MH

With a history stretching back to 1963, American Legion Baseball makes its return for another season of exciting ball in Mountain Home this coming week.

Head coach Lester White, who has been with the teams for 42 seasons, says he’s ready to get busy with a tough opening schedule.

The home field for the Lockeroom and Macleod teams at Cooper Park has seen a major overhaul since last season. White is excited for the teams to put the field that bears his namesake through its paces.

The Lockeroom has its opening game Tuesday at home against Harrison. Action gets underway at 5:30. For Macleod, they get underway on the road against NCA at North Central with game time at 5:30.
