The Baxter Marion Rural Water Association is reporting Wednesday morning that a major break in the system has caused water service to be unavailable to all customers in the system.
The association which has 191 customers in Oakland, Promise Land and along Highway 5 North has been without service since at least Tuesday evening as crews work to identify the source of the leak.
No word at this time has been given on an expected time for restoration. Anyone who observes signs of a large leak within the service area are being asked to report to the Baxter Marion Rural Water Association at 870-431-0050.
