Bull Shoals City Council to discuss Water Tower Project in Thursday meeting

The Bull Shoals City Council will meet Thursday evening at 6:30 in the Council Chambers located at 706 C S Woods Blvd.

The agenda includes reports from the Treasurer, the P and Z Commission, Parks and Budget Committees and the Fire, Police and Public Works Departments. The council will also discuss an update to 211 Alford, the Water Tower Project, which is at the Health Department for approval on passive mixer or mechanical, rectifying the mayor’s salary and a 2nd and 3rd reading on an ordinance regarding building and zoning permit fees.

In new business, the council discuss two resolutions, on authorizing the city to enter into a consent admin order with DEQ and another regarding surplus property from 1103 Central Blvd. Two ordinances are planned to be repealed and replaced regarding city employees doing business with the city and the no parking on Walden Lane. The Parks Committee will work on quotes for items on Master Parks Plan and a lease signing on Damsite Park will be discussed. The council voted for Cookie the dog to move back into town with its owner Rebecca Craig and stating conditions.

Councilman Alderman Mike Howell will speak on grant updates followed by the mayor giving comments and announcements on the old Harps proposal, the need for the garbage contract to be increased per contract, the success of the City Blood Drive and the change in City Hall’s hours.
