
Mountain Home High School’s FFA chapter claimed top honors at the Arkansas FFA State Career Development Event (CDE) held this spring at the University of Arkansas, earning state championships in both Agronomy and Dairy Cattle Evaluation.
The competitions, led by the Arkansas FFA Association, are designed to help students develop college and career readiness through hands-on experiences in leadership, critical thinking, decision-making, and teamwork.
The Agronomy team – consisting of Jentry Souder, Riley Trammell, Wave Simmons, and Natasha Meier – took home the state title. Souder was named the top individual in the state for the category.
The Dairy Cattle Evaluation team also secured first place. Team members included Ayden Havens, Hannah Baker, Hadleigh Baker, and Emma Cooley.
Mountain Home FFA added to its accolades at the Arkansas State FFA Convention, where two members earned individual state championships.
Hannah Baker won first place in the Job Interview competition.
Harrison Baker earned top honors in FFA Knowledge.
