The Baxter County Conservation District will be the buzz around town Wednesday morning from 10 to 1 as they have many fun events related to pollinators lined up.

The Mountain Buzz Pollinator event, a free event which takes place in front of the Conservation District Office, will feature a wide variety of events showing the importance these creatures have in our lives. Participants will be able to tour the District’s Pollinator Garden, which has had 13 new additions, purchase food products made with the help of pollinators and visit with experts.

The Donald W. Reynolds Library Serving Baxter County will sponsor a couple of events, including a reading of Meet the Pollinators: A Night and Day Adventure by Barbara Ciletti and an arts and crafts table. The Division of Agriculture will also make an appearance with a “bug truck.”

Molly Garland with the Baxter County Conservation Disctrict says pollinators are more than just bees and butterflies.
