
The Baxter County Quorum Court will meet in regular session Tuesday evening at 5:30 in the 2nd floor Courtroom of the Courthouse.
The agenda includes the Treasurer’s Report delivered by Jenay Mize and a report from Dennis Frank for the Cameron Davis and Budget Committee.
In new business, the Quorum Court will discuss an ordinance appropriating fees and reimbursements of $8,395 in April to the Sheriff’s Office 2025 Budget. Another appropriation ordinance will seek to move funds of $64,000 from the Jail Maintenance and Operation Fund into the Jail Maintenance and Operation 2025 Budget as well as an ordinance appropriating funds of $5,000 from the County General Fund into the IT Department, County Sheriff, Juvenile Services and County Jail 2025 Budgets for other fringe benefits. To support economic development in Baxter County, the Court will discuss appropriating funds of $50,000.
Other resolutions will be discussed, including one to recognize the Arkansas 250 Commission as it begins its work to celebrate Arkansas’ rich 250 year history from the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776 through July 4, 2026, a resolution expressing the commitment of the County to partner with the Baxter County Public Library Foundation and the confirmation of the appointment of Tink Albright by the County Judge to the Cotter / Gassville Rural Fire Protection District Board of Commissioners.
