The Mountain Home City Council needed just 12 minutes to deal with a light agenda Thursday evening, approving four items.

Two of the items had to do with real estate.

The council approved an ordinance to amend an ordinance that allows a section of land in Big Creek Estates to have its zoning changed from Residential R-1 to Residential R-4.

The other ordinance that was approved vacated a utility easement on property in Big Creek Estates.

The Council voted to give City Treasurer Alma Clark permission to open two new checking accounts. The accounts will be used for funds coming in from the 2025 water and sewer bonds and the other for the water and sewer grant funds.

The council also approved to accept water and sewer department’s 2024 audit. Clark told the council there were no discrepancies in the audit.

The next council meeting will not be until July 3. The June 19 meeting is canceled because of the Juneteenth holiday and because many of the council members will be attending the Municipal League conference that date in Little Rock.
