A house fire in Mountain Home on the afternoon of June 10 led to the rescue of two dogs after emergency crews responded to a blaze on Glenstone Street around 3.
The fire began in a bedroom and caused an estimated 20 percent fire damage and 80 percent smoke damage to the residence, according to the Mountain Home Fire Department. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Firefighters found two dogs inside the home and performed life saving measures using specialized oxygen equipment and assistance from Baxter Health. The animals were later transported to a local veterinary clinic for further treatment.
Nine firefighters responded with Engine Company 2, supported by a ladder truck and a support vehicle. No injuries or fatalities were reported. Emergency crews where on scene for two hours.
