Day 2 of Wood Bat Tourney ends in Lockeroom split

The American Legion Mountain Home Lockeroom team finished day two on Saturday of the Wood Bat Tournament in Sedalia, Missouri in a split.

It was down to the wire in the opening game as Lockeroom defeated Post 499 Fike with a score of 6-5. Maddex Chism earned the win for Mountain Home pitching seven and a half innings striking out 3.

Eden Prairie was the opponent for the second game and it was a close match but Lockeroom narrowly lost in a final of 4-3. Jordan Corbett took the loss, pitching six innings striking out four and walking four.

Lockeroom’s record is now 24-9 on the season. The team returns home with a few days rest as their next game is scheduled for Thursday as they head to Bartlesville for the start of the Glen Winget Tournament.
