
Residents across the Twin Lakes Area will have lots of opportunities to see and hear Independence Day fireworks displays beginning Thursday and continuing through Saturday.
On Thursday, three shows will help kick off the holiday weekend. The 40th annual Lake Norfork Fireworks Show will take place on the lake between the Highway 101 and Highway 62 bridges. Fireworks will begin at dusk, with prime viewing by boat or on the bridges. Also on Thursday, Flippin’s annual fireworks show will light up the sky over Hickey City Park at dusk. The city of Calico Rock will host its fireworks display at Earl King Memorial Park, also beginning at dark.
Friday is when most of the area shows will be displaying their fireworks. Bull Shoals Lake’s fireworks will launch from the Bull Shoals-White River State Park day use area, also at dusk. In Yellville, family festivities begin at 5 at Yellville City Park, with fireworks scheduled for dark. Mountain View will offer a city fireworks show near the square at the baseball fields, starting at dusk.
Harrison’s “Fire in the Sky” celebration will take place at the Anstaff Bank Soccer Complex, with fireworks beginning at dusk. In Salem, the Chamber of Commerce’s “Fireworks in the Park” event will be held at the Salem Knob, best viewed from Salem City Park, with the display beginning at dusk. Gainesville, Missouri will host its “Fireworks over the square” at approximately 9:30 with fireworks launched from the Gainesville Saddle Club on Highway 160. And in Romance, Missouri, a special celebration featuring fireworks and a skydiving show will take place from 7 to 10 at Sister Knob.
The weekend wraps up on Saturday, July 5, with Mountain View’s “Fireworks on the White River” event. The show will begin at dark and is best viewed from JoJo’s Catfish Wharf and Jack’s Fishing Resort.
