A sex offender registered with the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office has been arrested for violating sex offender registration requirements. Fifty-seven-year-old Phillip Wade Reeves of Mountain Home is charged with failure to comply with sex offender registration and reporting requirements and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Tuesday, a deputy was conducting a routine compliance check on Reeves. During this compliance check, the deputy found that Reeves had provided the sheriff’s office with false information regarding his employment. Reeves also failed to provide the Sheriff’s Office with information concerning multiple social media accounts he had, such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. In addition, Reeves has been operating a motor vehicle that he had not registered with the sheriff’s office for months.

The deputy reported Reeves was uncooperative and evasive during the compliance check interview. Reeves was arrested and taken into custody. During his arrest, a drug pipe used to smoke methamphetamine was found in his possession.

Reeves was arrested and booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on a felony charge of failure to comply with sex offender registration and reporting requirements and a felony charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held in the Baxter County Detention Center with bond set at $15,000. He is scheduled to appear in Circuit Court on Monday.
