An accident Tuesday night in West Plains resulted in the death of a West Plains man. The deceased pedestrian is an unidentified 50-year-old male. The driver, whose name has not been released, was not injured.
According to the West Plains Police Department, officers responded around 10 Tuesday night to a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian on US Hwy 63 near the bridge over McFarland Drive. A 50-year-old male was walking in the southbound lanes and was struck by a passing vehicle. The male was pronounced deceased on scene.
The West Plains Police Department is conducting its investigation and appropriate charges will be filed upon its completion.
