Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has extended state active duty orders through July 19, 2025, for four UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters and 22 Arkansas National Guard soldiers deployed to Texas to support search and rescue operations.
The Guardsmen, including pilots, crew chiefs, and six maintenance personnel, departed Arkansas around 7 a.m. on July 8 to assist with transporting rescue personnel in Central Texas. Two additional soldiers assigned as liaison officers at home station were also extended under the same order to coordinate ongoing support for the deployed team.
The Arkansas National Guard’s mission supports civil authorities during emergencies at the direction of the governor. Officials said the orders may be adjusted based on operational needs.
