Earlier this year a man from Thayer, and his mother, was arrested in Fulton County for breaking into a home, assaulting a man and trying to take a child from the home before the mother of the child was able to flee with the minor. The man, 25-year-old Victor Edward Watson who was free on bail, has now been arrested for trying to assault the same woman.

According to the probable cause affidavit from the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Watson had entered the victim’s home on July 4. When another female entered the room, Watson grabbed an axe and said if she came any closer, he would use it. But when he saw the female was armed, he fled the house on foot.

Watson was arrested by Thayer Police July 9 on the Fulton County warrant charging him with a felony count of aggravated assault. He has been extradited back to the Fulton County Jail where he is being held without bond.

EARLIER CASE

Back in March, Watson, along with his 56-year-old mother Lisa Kay Watson, broke into a home in Mammoth Spring where the same female was sleeping along with a male and a child.

The victims reported the two had broken into their home and Victor had pinned the female victim to the bed. The male victim intervened and Victor head butted him in the face.

While those two began to fight, Lisa Watson took a three-year-old that was in the bed with the two adult victims and tried to flee, but the female victim was able to recover the child.
As the two Watsons fled, Victor threw a speaker at the male victim, striking him in the head.

In that case, Victor Watson is facing a felony charge of aggravated residential burglary along with misdemeanor charges of third degree battery, third degree endangering the welfare of a minor and assault on a family or household member.
