Mountain Home Lockeroom wins one, ties one against Heber Springs

Mountain Home Lockeroom earned a 9-2 win and a 2-2 tie in a Friday doubleheader against Heber Springs at Lester White Field in Cooper Park.

Lockeroom jumped ahead early in Game 1, scoring three runs in the first and adding five more over the next two innings. Ethan Light went 2-for-3 with an RBI and earned the win on the mound, allowing one earned run over three innings. Ryder McClain added two hits and two RBIs, while Finley Chafin and Jordan Corbett also drove in two runs apiece.

In Game 2, Heber Springs scored twice in the first, but Mountain Home answered in the third to even the score. Hayden Hyslip tied the game with an RBI single. Owen Guffey allowed two runs over three innings, striking out four. Lockeroom committed no errors in the field.

American Legion Lockeroom heads to North-West Arkansas on Saturday to take on the Yard Birds at Greenland High School. First pitch is at 3:45.
