
Authorities are investigating after a 14-year-old boy was found dead Saturday evening in Pine Bluff, police said.
Officers responded to a call about an unresponsive person around 5:55 p.m. in the 2500 block of South Maple Street, according to the Pine Bluff Police Department. When they arrived, they found the teen lying in the grass across the street from a home.
Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Eric Belcher pronounced the boy dead at the scene.
Police said the investigation is in its early stages and few details have been released. Detectives are actively working the case and following leads.
