A Mountain Home man, whose name has not been released, was injured while refueling a lawn mower in a shop building at his residence west of Mountain Home Thursday night. According to information from the Mountain Home Fire Department, the lawn mower had been in use and was still hot when the man was refueling. Some gas made contact with the mower igniting a fire and causing burns to the man’s arms and legs.The man was airlifted to an unknown hospital from the scene.
The shop building was destroyed in the blaze.
The incident happened on Baxter County Road 733 off of West Road at 7:50 Thursday night.
Mountain Home fire fighters were assisted by the Midway Fire Department. Fire fighters were on the scene for two hours.
