The Mountain Home Parks & Recreation Department will host a free Lifeguard Challenge event this August to help individuals prepare for the American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification course.
Participants will have the opportunity to complete two required physical pre-requisite tests: a swim-tread-swim sequence and a 10-pound object retrieval. The event is open to individuals ages 14 and older.
Event dates and times are scheduled by age group:
Ages 14-18: August 16 at 9:00.
Ages 19-25: August 16 at 10:00.
Ages 26-35: August 23 at 9:00.
Ages 36 and older: August 23 at 10:00.
Those aged 14-17 must have parental permission to participate. Registration is required in advance.
