The Arkansas Department of Health has issued a boil water notice for Lakeview-Midway Public Water Authority customers on Boat Dock Road and Leta Drive.
The notice was issued as a precaution after a water line break caused a drop in system pressure, raising the risk that contaminated water may have entered the distribution system.
Customers in the affected area are advised to boil all water used for drinking or food preparation for at least one minute. Any ice made from unboiled tap water should be discarded, and only boiled or bottled water should be used to make ice.
The notice will remain in effect until repairs are completed, disinfectant levels return to normal, and testing confirms the water is safe to drink.
