Bombers finish 2nd, Lady Bombers take 6th in Czeschin Memorial

The Mountain Home Bomber golf teams teed off the 2025 season and finished off the 2 day Calvin and Sissy Czeschin Memorial Tournament on Tuesday. After 36 holes of golf the Bombers were able to come home in the runner-up position out of 11 teams. Mountain Home finished 22 strokes behind the champion Harrison Goblins (+38). The Lady Bombers wrapped up the two day tournament finishing in the 6th position out of 7 teams, finishing 188 strokes behind the champion, Mount St. Mary’s Billies (+27), who won the tournament by an astounding 58 strokes.

Cody Cormican paced the Bombers finishing tied for 5th at 6 shots over par. Jack Coleman came home tied for 10th at 13 strokes over par. Jake Brashears finished tied for 19th, Braxton Blagg came home 22nd, and Teegan Booy rounded out the Bombers varsity group with a 37th place finish. Other participants from the Bombers junior varsity squad included Jax Wescoat who finished 37th, Bailor Tate who came home 50th, Aiden Garner in 52nd and Cameron Stone rounded out the Bomber participants in 53rd.

On the girls side the Lady Bombers were led by Abby Edens who finished in 10th at 43 strokes over par. Anna Torres finished in 20th, and Molly Wright rounded out the Lady Bombers field in 26th.

Mountain Home’s Cody Cormican shot 3 under par (69) on the final day, bouncing back from a day one score of 81. He says that it was a good day for a bounce back and is happy to be back in the swing of things this school year.

Mountain Home’s next match will be on Tuesday, August 12th, which is also the first day of school, as both the boys and girls teams will compete in the Phil Parker Memorial Tournament at Ridgepointe Country Club in Jonesboro.
