Fresh off a state championship win, the Lockeroom American Legion baseball team will open play in the Mid-South Regional tournament this week against Columbia, Tennessee.
Lockeroom, representing Arkansas, will face the Tennessee state champion in the first round of the double-elimination tournament, which begins Wednesday in Washington, Missouri. The game marks the next step in Lockeroom’s postseason run following its victory in the Arkansas American Legion AAA state tournament last week.

The Mid-South Regional features champions from Arkansas, Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri and Kansas, along with a host team from the Washington area.
First pitch for Lockeroom is scheduled for 9:30 Wednesday. The tournament continues through the weekend.
