A Yellville man has been arrested on one count of rape and 48 counts of second degree sexual assault involving a minor. Fifty-one-year-old Rickie Ed Heinen was arrested Monday afternoon and released Tuesday evening after posting $75,000 bond.
According to information from Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander, the investigation began June 27 when a deputy responded to a residence for a verbal domestic dispute in which the minor female was the victim. During the investigation, the victim told the deputy about a sexual relationship with Heinen that had been going on for approximately four years. Heinen is in a relationship with a relative of the victim.
During an interview with investigators, Heinen admitted to assaulting the victim multiple times per week for the past year, but denied engaging in intercourse.
Sheriff Alexander says the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are expected.
Rape is a class Y felony, the most serious crime in Arkansas not punishable by the death penalty.
