Ada ousts Lockeroom from Mid-South Regional with six-run second inning

The Mountain Home Lockeroom American Legion baseball team was eliminated from the Mid-South Regional Tournament on Thursday, falling to Ada, Oklahoma 12-7 in an early-round elimination game.

Lockeroom struggled to recover after Ada scored six runs in the second inning to take an early 7-1 lead. Mountain Home battled back with 10 hits on the day but could not close the gap.

Owen Hyslip took the loss on the mound for Lockeroom, allowing seven runs, six earned on six hits in 1 2/3 innings. Hayden Hyslip pitched three innings in relief, giving up six hits and three runs while striking out one and walking two.

At the plate, Mason Sinclair, Jordan Corbett and Nate Henderson each had two hits to lead Lockeroom’s offense. Corbett and Jackson Corp both drove in a pair.

Lester White’s boys end their postseason run with the loss.
