Flippin High School’s boys and girls golf teams won team titles Friday at the 3rd annual Twin Lakes High School Invitational at Twin Lakes Golf Course.
The event featured teams from Flippin, Valley Springs, Bergman, Norfork and Eureka Springs. The girls division played nine holes, while the boys competed over 18.
Norfork’s Cate Shaddy earned girls medalist honors with a score of 50, edging Flippin’s Mallory Lindsey by one stroke. Flippin’s all-freshman team of Lindsey, Layla Warren and Izzy Fuller won the girls team competition by seven shots over Norfork.
On the boys side, Flippin placed four golfers in the top five. Hudson Lindsey led the way, holing out for eagle on the final hole to shoot 68 and claim medalist honors. Flippin posted a team score of 214 to finish well ahead of the field. Other top boys scores included Tucker Thompson (Flippin) 71, Peyton Moore (Flippin) 75, Luke Haught (Norfork) 79, and Truett Lindsey (Flippin) 81.
Lindsey’s victory followed a tie for second earlier in the week at the Czeschin Memorial Tournament in Mountain Home, where he shot 75-73.
Flippin is scheduled to play at Cherokee Village on Tuesday and Harrison Country Club on Thursday.
