
Students will return to Mountain Home Public Schools on Tuesday for the start of the 2025-26 school year, with new statewide initiatives and a staggered start for kindergarten.Kindergarten boys will attend their first day Tuesday, while girls will begin Wednesday, August 13. All kindergarten students will attend together starting Thursday, August 14.
This year, the state’s new “Bell to Bell No Cell” policy will take effect, prohibiting cellphone use during instructional time in all public schools. The initiative is aimed at reducing distractions and encouraging student engagement in class. KTLO, Classic Hits and the Boot News spoke with Mountain Home Public Schools Superintendent, Allyson Dewey, who says the students at Mountain Home have a bit of an advantage in this area.
