St. Louis, New York Face Off for First Time This Season

ST. LOUIS (APP.) -The St. Louis Cardinals host the New York Yankees to begin a three-game series. St. Louis has a 35-27 record at home and a 61-61 record overall. The Cardinals are 45-22 in games when they record at least eight hits. New York has a 27-32 record on the road and a 64-57 record overall. The Yankees are 42-15 in games when they scored five or more runs.
The teams meet Friday for the first time this season.

Alec Burleson has a .282 batting average to lead the Cardinals, and has 19 doubles and 15 home runs. Pedro Pages is 10 for 26 with two home runs and eight RBIs over the past 10 games.
