Feeding America announced that CEO Claire Babineaux-Fontenot will leave her role in 2026 after nearly 10 years leading the nation’s largest hunger-relief organization.
Babineaux-Fontenot has guided Feeding America through a period of growth, partnering with more than 200 food banks, 22 state associations and over 60,000 local agencies to deliver billions of meals nationwide.
Jeff Quick, CEO of the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas, said Babineaux-Fontenot has worked closely with Arkansas leaders to fight food insecurity, including attending the recent grand opening of the food bank’s Mountain Home facilities and speaking at its annual conference in July.
The organization’s board will conduct a national search for her successor. Babineaux-Fontenot will remain in her role during the transition and continue supporting hunger-relief efforts in Arkansas and beyond.
