Go All In for the Library: Hold’em Tournament Returns August 23

The Baxter County Library Foundation will host its annual Texas Hold’em tournament, Ante Up for the Library, on Saturday, Aug. 23, at the Mountain Home Elks Lodge #1714.

Marketing Coordinator Andrea Belt spoke with KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot News and offered the details and an insider tip to get tickets.

Tickets are available at the Donald W. Reynolds Library Serving Baxter County, or by calling the Library Foundation at 870-580-0705. Registration will begin at noon and tournament play will start at 1.

Visa gift cards will be awarded to the top six finishers with winning amounts for 1st place of $2,000, 2nd place receives $1,000, 3rd place $600, 4th place: $300 and 5th and 6th places receive $250 each.

Door prizes will be awarded throughout the day, and a special prize will be given for the best beat hand. Participants must be 21 or older and present a valid ID to enter.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Baxter County Library Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supporting library programs and services.
