Mountain Home golf defeat Gobs, Bombers fall by 5 strokes

Wednesday, the Mountain Home Bomber golf clubs took on the Goblins in a 9 hole match at the Harrison Country Club. The Bombers fell to the Goblins by 5 strokes and the Lady Bombers defeated the Lady Goblins by 11 strokes.

Mountain Home was led in scoring by Braxton Blagg and Cody Cormican who both came home with a 36. Jack Coleman just trailed the duo by 1 stroke and finished with a 37. Teegan Booy ended the affair with a 9 hole score of 42 and Jake Brashears finished with a 43. 7 other golfers for Mountain Home participated but their scores did not contribute to the team score. Bailor Tate and Ayden Havens finished with a 45, Jax Wescoat a 47, Aiden Garner finished with 48, Cam Stone ended the day at 52, freshman Jarrett Warno came home with a 60, and Nathan Jones rounded out the Bomber scorecard with a 62.

The Lady Bombers, however, were able to bring home the “W” in their match. Mountain Home was led in scoring by Abby Edens with 38, Anna Torres finished at 44, Ashley Smith came home with a 48, and Molly Wright rounded out the varsity scoring with a 55. Other scores included Brylee Blasdel and Ava Caples tying at 66, and Lila Grace Withrow rounded out the scoring for Mountain Home at 68.

The Bomber Golf teams are off until September 4th when they welcome Greene County Tech and Melbourne to Big Creek Country Club.
