The Salem Greyhounds will travel to Pocahontas to take on the Redskins in a non-conference season opener. Kickoff is set for 7 at Pocahontas. Salem visits with momentum from last year’s 30-28 win, as well as a State Championship. Expect a close, physical game between two programs that know each other well.
Yellville-Summit will host the Izard County Cougars. Their last match-up was last season, when Yellville-Summit dominated in a 55-7 victory. The Panthers will look to build off of last year’s win, while Izard County tries to gain early-season momentum in their second season of 11-man football.
The Cave City Cavemen will travel to Marshall to take on the Bobcats to start their season. Kickoff in Marshall is set for 7.
The Melbourne Bearkatz will play host to the Hoxie Mustangs. Melbourne went 8-3 last year and will look to start the season off on the right foot. Kickoff is set for 7 in Melbourne.
The Mountain View Yellowjackets go on the road for their season-opener against the Willow Springs Bears. Kickoff is set for 7 in Willow Springs.
