Arkansas will open the 2030 football season against Texas Tech in the Vegas Kickoff Classic at Allegiant Stadium, event organizers announced.

The game, set for Labor Day weekend, will be played at the home of the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders and televised nationally on ABC or an ESPN network. An exact date and kickoff time will be announced later.

Arkansas and Texas Tech last met in the 2024 AutoZone Liberty Bowl, when the Razorbacks defeated the Red Raiders to close the season. The two programs were longtime rivals in the former Southwest Conference.

The Las Vegas matchup will adjust the programs’ existing home-and-home series. Arkansas was originally scheduled to play at Texas Tech in 2030 and host the Red Raiders in Fayetteville in 2031. Under the new arrangement, Arkansas will play in Lubbock during the 2034 season.

The 2030 contest is part of a broader slate of games in the Vegas Kickoff Classic. Other scheduled matchups include Miami vs. Utah and North Dakota State vs. Montana State in 2027, BYU vs. Oregon State in 2028, and Montana vs. South Dakota State in 2029.
