A Searcy County man has been arrested on child porn charges. Facing eight counts of distributing, possessing or viewing matter depicting sexual conduct involving a child is 55-year-old Daryl Day Miller of Marshall.According to the probable cause affidavit from the Marshall Police Department, Miller is the one who contacted law enforcement. He told investigators while viewing pornography on an app, he was messaged and asked if he was interested in purchasing images of child pornography. He told law enforcement he isn’t into that stuff, but led the person who messaged him to think he was so he could report it to law enforcement.
A search warrant was obtained and executed on Miller’s phone. Eight images of child pornography were found.
Also found was a conversation Miller had with a female during which he sent a nude photo of himself. After the photo was sent, the person claimed to be 17-years-old and told Miller they were going to report him to the FBI. The person also made a social media post outing Miller. It was that same day Miller contacted law enforcement about the person reaching out to him about selling the child porn.
Miller is currently free after posting $5,000 bail.
