Bomber Golf sweeps Highland

The Mountain Home Bomber golf clubs played their penultimate home match of the season on Thursday. Mountain Home welcomed the Highland Rebels to Big Creek Country Club for a non-conference match that saw Mountain Home defeat the Rebels in both the boys and girls 9 hole matches. Mountain Home’s boys defeated the Rebels by the score of 153 to 170. Mountain Home was led by Cody Cormican and Braxton Blagg who both shot a 37. Jack Coleman finished 2 strokes behind them at 39, Teagan Booy finished at 40, and Jake Brashears came home with a 47. On the junior varsity scorecard Bailor Tate would pace the squad, and nearly out shoot 2 varsity members, shooting a 40, Ayden Havens would add a 47, Aiden Garner closed the day with a 49, Jax Wescoat shot a 52, freshman Jarrett Warno closed the day at 58, and Nathan Jones would close the Bomber scorecard with a 65.

The girls match would defeat Highland by the score of 88 to 108. Highland only had 2 golfers so Mountain Home only scored their top two golfers, Abby Edens and Anna Torres who both shot a 44. Ashley Smith came home with a 51, Molly Wright finished with a 53, Brylee Blasdel brought home a 61, Ava Caples closed the day with a 65, and Lila Grace Withrow rounded out the Lady Bomber scorecard with a 70.

Mountain Home will be off until Monday, September 15th, when they take on Flippin and Harrison at Big Creek Country Club for senior night.
