A woman arrested while sheriff’s deputies were attempting to locate another individual to serve an outstanding warrant pled guilty to charges against her during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court/Criminal Division Monday.

33-year-old Lakin Greer was sentenced to six years in prison with a judicial transfer to one of the Community Correction Centers in the state for addiction treatment.
Greer and 26-year-old Jordan Bryce Williams were both arrested August 14 after Baxter County sheriff’s deputies found them together at a residence in Salesville.

It was determined that Williams had an outstanding warrant himself and he was arrested. His charges include possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia and non- payment of District Court fines. Williams’ bond is set at slightly more than $12,000.

The deputies reported finding methamphetamine, Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone pills and a smoking pipe commonly used to ingest illegal drugs on Williams.
He was reported to have admitted that the crystal-like substance found in two plastic bags taken from his pocket was methamphetamine.
He is charged with possession of meth, Schedule I or II controlled substances and paraphernalia used to ingest drugs.

The owner of the Salesville property told deputies that Williams and Greer, who were described as boyfriend and girlfriend, had been staying at the residence for a short period because they were homeless. Greer also had an active warrant and was taken into custody based on that warrant.

According to the probable cause affidavit, a clear plastic bag containing a powder-like substance suspected of being methamphetamine was found in Greer’s front right pocket. In searching the structure where Wiliams and Greer had been living deputies found a homemade “bong” used to ingest illegal drugs and a set of scales. A silver 12-gage shotgun missing the buttstock was found in a suitcase.

Greer was initially charged with possession of methamphetamine and being a felon in possession of a firearm. She also pled guilty to violating the terms and conditions of her probation in a 2024 drug case.
