Google has announced plans to build a $15 billion data center in mid-Missouri near New Florence in Montgomery County.
The proposed facility would be located along Interstate 70 about 20 miles west of Warrenton and next to a previously approved $35 billion data center project from Amazon.
Combined, the two developments are expected to cover nearly 2,000 acres.
To put the size into perspective, Busch Stadium and Ballpark Village together cover approximately 28 acres, meaning the two data center projects together would occupy an area roughly equal to 70 Busch Stadium sites.
Google officials said the company plans to use advanced technology aimed at reducing environmental impacts and limiting water usage at the facility.
The projects are expected to bring major infrastructure development and economic investment to the region.
