
In a meeting lasting one hour and 42 minutes, the Mountain Home Public Schools Board of Education approved all action items on Thursday evening.During the meeting, Kristi Seawright, a first grade teacher at Nelson-Wilks-Herron Elementary School, was named Teacher of the Year. This year marks 20 years since her mother won the same award.
Steve Mendleski received the Richard Padgett Extra Mile Award.

Keith Alman, Leah Cotter, Dell Leonard and David Rodriguez were recognized for 30 years of service.
Board members also approved several items for the 2026-27 school year, including bulk school supply purchases, Chromebook purchases, curriculum purchases, a truck purchase and renewals for Canvas and GoGuardian services.
The board additionally approved district assurances for the upcoming school year and reviewed the second reading of the 2026-27 handbooks and procedures.
District enrollment was reported at 3,635 students.
