The Lady Bombers fell to the Lady Bulldogs by a final of 51-30. Both teams struggled offensively at the beginning of the game as they didn’t reach double digits until the second quarter. The defending Class 7A state champions went into the locker room up six despite their first half shooting troubles including going 0-for-4 from the free throw line. Fayetteville was able to take control in the second half as they used their combination of size and speed to post the 21-point victory.

Hannah Pfeifer led Mountain Home with 13 points. For the Lady Bulldogs, Coriah Beck scored 15 points, Jasmine Franklin had 12, and Sasha Goforth added 11.

Fayetteville begins the season at 1-0. The Lady Bombers drop to 0-1, and they’ll return to the road Friday as they meet Siloam Springs.
