
A Summit man, 44-year-old James Garvin Ply, was arrested Sunday and charged with two felony counts of residential burglary. According to Marion County Sheriff Clinton Evans, a search warrant was executed at Ply’s residence. He also faces two felony counts of theft of property, one count of possession of methamphetamine with the purpose to deliver, four counts of possession of a controlled substance and two misdemeanor charges. Ply is incarcerated at the Marion County Jail in lieu of a $20,000 bond and is awaiting his first appearance in Marion County Circuit Court.The search of his residence stems from an investigation of a residential burglary which took place in Summit. Ply was identified on camera entering another residence and leaving with property in his hands. After Ply was arrested he was searched before he was transported to jail. During the search officers found suspected methamphetamine, along with other controlled substances.
Sheriff Evans says additional arrests are expected to be filed.
